Biography

Dr. Rabab Al Attas is a Consultant Pathologist, Immunologist and Immunogeneticist, and the Head of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (HIL), Immunology Laboratories, and Chair of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory medicine (DPLM) at King Fahad Specialist Hospital - Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Attas received her MBBS from King Abdul-Aziz University, Jeddah, KSA.  Dr. Attas’ unyielding work with outreach programs and organizations dealing with immunology has earned her recognition both in Jeddah and in the United States. Her research interests include transplant immunology – stem cell and immune deficiency. From the PH-LEADER workshops, Attas hopes to learn strategic planning, quality improvement, research development, leadership, improvement, patient safety, statistic methods, accreditation, and quality management.
