Biography

Claudia Vargas, MPH is the Chief of the Research Department at the Health Institute of the State of Mexico.  Ms. Vargas received her Masters in Public Health from the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico with a concentration in Epidemiology from the National Institute of Public Health (INSP). Claudia Vargas is responsible for the management of the health research projects made by health professionals in hospitals and sanitary jurisdictions from the State of Mexico, is also member of the State Ethics Committee. She contributes to the dissemination of the research and its importance among health professionals through courses, teaching and forums.  Her goals are to enforce knowledge and expertise in public health and nutrition through health promotion, community interventions in early ages, and conducting research at local and global basis that can influence the public policy.
