Biography

Sandeep Bhalla, MD, DNB is a Public Health Specialist in the Center of Excellence Cardio Metabolic Risk Reduction in South Asia at the Public Health Foundation of India. Dr. Bhalla received his MD and DNB at the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India. Currently he manages capacity building initiatives for Primary Care Physicians along with his 30-member team in NCD area. One of the initiative certificate course in evidence based diabetic management for primary care physicians recently received global IDF recognition.  He also manages certificate course in gestational diabetes mellitus and advanced certificate course in prevention and management of diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Bhalla has trained more than 7,000 doctors in these initiatives. He is the founder member of Association for the Prevention and Control of Rabies in India (APCRI). He is the member of the Healthcare division of Quality Council of India. He is also the assessor of Healthcare Excellence award of CII and National Assessor for National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH).
