Biography

Thriveni S Beerenahally, MBBS, PGDHM, MPH, DFID is a faculty member in the Public Health Department at the Institute of Public Health in Bangalore, India.  Dr. Beerenahally received her medical degree from Mysore Medical College in India.  She then completed her post-graduate diploma in Hospital Management at the All India Institute of Management Studies in India.  She received her Master’s in Public Health from the University of Wolverhampton in the UK. Currently, Dr. Beerenahally is leading a research project that aims to improve access to affordable quality NCD care by strengthening the local health systems in an urban neighborhood of Bangalore. She is also providing technical consultation to the health project in five North Eastern states in India. In IPH she has worked extensively in urban health systems and worked in projects related to maternal and child health, social exclusion and social protection schemes.
